Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

Your California Privacy Rights

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), California residents have the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of their personal information.

What Does "Sale" or "Sharing" Mean?

Under California law:

"Sale" means exchanging personal information for money or other valuable consideration.

"Sharing" means disclosing personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising purposes.

Our Practices

What We DO NOT Do

invitation.codes does NOT:

  • Sell your personal information for money
  • Share your personal information with data brokers
  • Sell or share personal information of users under 16

What We MAY Do

We may share certain information with third parties for:

  • Analytics: To understand how our service is used
  • Advertising: To show relevant promotions
  • Affiliate tracking: To attribute referral commissions

Under California law, some of these activities may be considered "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising.

How to Opt Out

Option 1: Global Privacy Control (GPC)

We automatically honor the Global Privacy Control signal. If your browser or device sends a GPC signal:

  • We treat it as a valid opt-out request
  • Advertising cookies and optional analytics do not load in that browser
  • No additional action is needed

To enable GPC:

  • Use a browser that supports GPC (Firefox, Brave, DuckDuckGo)
  • Install a GPC browser extension
  • Enable GPC in your privacy settings

Option 2: Reject Optional Cookies

Choose Reject in the cookie banner. Advertising cookies and optional analytics then stay off in that browser. See our Cookie Policy for details.

Option 3: Email Us

You can submit an opt-out request by email, which applies to your account rather than a single browser:

Email: [email protected]

  • Subject: "Do Not Sell or Share My Information"
  • Include your account email address

If you have an account, you can also download your data or delete your account in Privacy & data settings.

What Happens After You Opt Out

When you opt out:

  • We stop sharing your data with advertising partners
  • Optional cookies and analytics stay off (Cloudflare Web Analytics, described in Section 2.3 of our Cookie Policy, keeps running)
  • You may see less relevant advertisements
  • Core functionality remains unchanged

Note: Opting out does not:

  • Delete your account or data
  • Stop essential cookies needed for the site to work
  • Affect data already shared before your request
  • Apply to data you directly provide to third parties

Verification

To protect your privacy, we may need to verify your identity:

  • We'll confirm your email address
  • For sensitive requests, we may ask additional questions
  • We will not ask for government ID for opt-out requests

Response Time

We will process your request within:

  • Immediately in your browser for GPC signals and the cookie banner
  • 15 business days for emailed requests

Non-Discrimination

We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights. You will still have access to:

  • All platform features
  • The same service quality
  • Equal pricing and offers

Authorized Agents

You may designate an authorized agent to submit requests on your behalf. The agent must:

  • Provide written authorization signed by you
  • Verify their own identity
  • Provide proof of authority to act on your behalf
