About to Create a Hive Account?

Hello again comrades…. I just wanted to clarify the details on my Splinterlands ref link in regards to the complimentary Hive account.

Depending on the method you use you will likely have to pay a one-time fee to open a Hive account. Signing in with my Splinterlands link automatically waives that fee if you obtain the spellbook in-game — regardless of whether or not you actually play the game. Accounts created via this method also come preloaded with a small amount of HP to boost the number of transaction you can make in a day. This would also normally cost an additional fee, but is free with your Splinterlands account.

Obtaining the spellbook does require paying a few dollars, so your Hive account still won’t be totally free, but you will save money by doing it this way even if you aren’t interested in playing the Splinterlands game itself. Also note that should you decide to play, any and all cards you earn in the game can be sold on the market for real money, which does not have to be spent in the game.
