What are chargebacks (a danger to your earnings!)
What is a chargeback?
Many legit get-paid-to sites and survey sites have something called "chargebacks". Which is like a penalty fee you get for not completing a micro-task or survey properly. In these micro-tasking websites, you have two types of earnings, approved earnings and pending earnings. When you complete a task, the third-party who offered the task will check if you completed the task properly. While waiting for your task to be approved, your earnings from that task will be added to your pending earnings. If you did it correctly, they will approve your task and your pending earnings will be transferred to your approved earnings. If you did not do the task correctly, you get a chargeback. Which means you won't be credited for completing the task and it will be deducted from your pending earnings.
How to get your earnings back?
If you belive you completed the task properly and that you should get paid for your work, you can file a dispute on the micro-task website and inform them that you didn't get paid for finishing the task correctly. If they agree with your reasoning, you can get your earnings back.
Possibility of getting a chargeback:
Many micro-tasking websites try to be fair on both sides 'cause they wouldn't want to lose their users. In my experience, the possibility of getting a chargeback is pretty low and if I do get a chargeback, mostly, it's because of a mistake I made.
