You can get a free £10 when you sign up to Currensea via a referral code. Currensea is a really clever card that allows you to save money when spending abroad. You link it to your bank account and just use the Currensea card instead of your normal card when spending abroad or on foreign websites. It then converts the transaction to GBP and collects it from your account via Direct Debit - no need to worry about topping it up or trying to second guess how much you will need to convert before you go. On the free tier, which is the one I use, the currency conversion fee is just 0.5% which is a lot less than most banks charge. It’s also really handy as a backup - you can use it to withdraw £500 a month overseas without any additional fee other than the 0.5%. To receive the £10 bonus you need to spend £100 in foreign currency on the card in the first 120 days.

I joined Currensea since mid 2022, nearly 1 year now, have been enjoying using it. Code: [referral code hidden] Or link: [referral link hidden] "Refer a friend by sending them your referral code or link and we will give you £10 and your friend £10 when they have spent their first £100 in foreign currency with Currensea" #=============================== 2024 update: I just got back from a trip to Kyoto. The Currensea card is a lifesaver. No more messing around with cash or getting stung by crazy exchange rates. Plus, their customer service is good too. Note: But you still need to bring some cash with you to Japan if you want to use the epic vending machines!
